This is the first in a series of realistic, observational paintings based off a series of work I did when I was an undergrad painting/drawing major. It's meant to be a representation of a video game. We get invested into a world of fun and game loops through the controller. The background has a slight blur to help solidify the controller as the focal point of the piece, even though it's at the bottom of the picture plane. I originally did these with acrylic, oil, and spray paint, but I wasn't good enough back then to capture the image I had in my head. I hope to do more of these in the near future!
